Why login?

Logging in allows you to rate and comment on addons. It also allows you to upload your own addons, or edit addons which you have previously uploaded.

You do not need to log in to browse and download addons.

What is OpenID?

OpenID is a system that allows you to log in to many websites with the same identifier. This means that you don't need to register an account on each website, and don't need to remember a multitude of passwords.
